THE STORY
We're Gen X. So Yeah, We Get It.
Gen X Threads started because we were tired of seeing our generation either completely ignored or turned into a punchline by people who don't actually understand us.
We're the latchkey kids who raised ourselves. We survived on hose water, frozen dinners, and benign neglect that somehow made us ridiculously resourceful. We created grunge, hip-hop's golden age, the internet, and startup culture...then stepped back and let everyone else take credit.
But we're tired of brands that market to everyone except us. Tired of generic nostalgia t-shirts and inspirational quotes written by people half our age.
So we made Gen X Threads. Apparel that actually speaks our language.

THE FOUNDER
I'm Gen X. Born 1975. Latchkey kid from a way too early age. Raised on MTV and the understanding that I needed to figure things out myself.
A few months ago, scrolling through Facebook reading through so many posts of people with the same stories: house keys, unsupervised summers, frozen pizza dinners, and weird pride in surviving what would now be considered neglect.
That's when I realized—we need our own thing.
Gen X Threads isn't a corporation. It's just me, making shirts for people like us.
